Founded in 1942 by João Effting, Santa Luzia started as a small mirror factory in Braço do Norte, SC Brazil. By starting to manufacture mirror frames, the company grew rapidly until it revolutionized its production of mouldings, wall coverings and accessories in 2002, by exchanging 96% of the initial raw material, wood at that time, for the recycling of plastic residues, such as expanded polystyrene (EPS/ Styrofoam®).
The largest moulding manufacturing industrial park in South America, Santa Luzia has products sold at 4,000 points of sale in more than 500 cities across Brazil. It currently exports around 10% of its production to United States, Japan, Dubai, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.
