Our story began more than fifty years ago in a small family workshop located in the city of Zaragoza, attended by only three workers. The current president of the company, Mr Jesús Villaverde, was one of them. From its humble beginnings when the company was making home mailboxes up to the present day, BTV has managed to position itself as a world leading brand in the hardware and security sectors.
Currently, we remain loyal to the same quality philosophy based on customer service, wide and varied range of products, solid technical assistance network and on resource policy aimed at constant technological innovation. In return, we have more than 6500 customers across Europe, Asia and America.
Our catalogue has a wide variety of safes for both domestic and business use, as well as security systems, electronic locks, approved signage panels and accessories for neighbourhood communities, hotels, banks and other business models. In addition, the production of mailboxes that marked our beginnings is still active. We are also distributors of cylinders, fittings, electronic locks and products for hotels.
It has been several decades since we decided to go global. Since 1996, we have been present in Mexico and 1998 was the year when our first manufacturing plant in China opened. Years later, in 2018, a new headquarters is opened in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. This commitment to internationalisation has allowed us to establish a solid production, distribution and technical assistance network that extends from its headquarters in Spain to the European, Asian and American markets.
All this time we remain committed to our customers and quality service based on the constant innovation and modernization of our production and communication methods. New technologies along with quality assurance, sustainability and social responsibility, as well as a strong commitment to research and development, are the keys to BTV's present and future success.
