Blå Station

Blå Station is in Åhus on the southern Swedish east coast, where the sea is in constant motion, just like us. Blå Station started in 1986 by a returning designer, who after years of success wanted to return to his childhood roots. The designer was Börge Lindau, known as one of the design team Lindau & Lindekrantz. Blå Station stands for B as in Börge, L as in Lindau and Å as in Åhus. A station is a place for meetings, farewell, joy and tears. Thus, we call it our station-Blue Station. The starting idea was a simple design concept: that of the Round rings of birch create a richly varied program of chairs, tables and stools, both for the home and for public spaces.
