Clúster da Pizarra de Galicia

The Clúster da Pizarra de Galicia is made up of more than 40 companies dedicated to the extraction, processing and marketing of slate, which account for 90% of the total production of the community.

The objectives of the Clúster da Pizarra seek to promote and boost sales of Galician slate in the current market and can be summarised as increasing the level of competitiveness of the slate sector with an attempt to promote and encourage the implementation of specific innovative projects.

These objectives respond to the new needs of the slate sector, for which a strategic plan has been developed that carries out actions in the field of sustainability and environment, training, promotion, normative and technical and R+D+I.
