This is an offline reader that does not require any wiring and is powered by two CR2 batteries. Battery life is about three years and the batteries are easily replaced from the outside of the door when the cylinder indicates that it is time to replace them. Don’t worry that it is a battery-powered reader, the level of security is very high. The cylinder should be used on indoor modular lock housings with a turn of 90 degrees. No unnecessary damage to the door when installing the cylinder because the existing lock housing can be used (cylinder holes adapted for oval cylinders may need to be drilled to 43 mm). The LockR family is fully integrated into the R-CARD 5000 system, it is offered with Desfire EV2 reading technology with RCO app or Mifare classic with sector reading.
