    Membrane is a tile underlayment and uncoupling membrane.

    Membrane can replace a second layer of plywood/concrete board and reduces the risk of tile cracks caused by movement in the flooring assembly. When integrated with Cable, the Membrane system is a best-in-class integrated uncoupling, waterproofing, and floor heating solution. Membrane eases the installation of Cable by simplifying the installation process.

    • Technical Info:

      Material: Membrane is a polypropylene sheet that is thermo-bonded to a non-woven polypropylene fabric on the underside. It is 0.22 inches thick, 39 inches wide and weighs 840 grams/m².

      Operating Voltage: 120 V, 208 V, and 240 V.

      Power Output: 10 - 15 watts per square foot depending on wire spacing.

      Our recommended spacing is alternating 2-3-2 pillar spacing which produces 12 watts/sqft. If you are installing over a concrete slab and require more heat, we recommend using 2-pillar spacing which produces 15 watts/sqft.

      Maximum Continuous Exposure Temperature: 194°F (90°C). 

      Heating Cable: 2-wire, grounded, twisted air with PVC outer jacket.

      Cold Lead: 2-wire, 16-18 AWG plus ground braid layer; 10 ft (3m) length.
