Lacquer has a beautiful wet luster and a unique soft texture. Matte Japanese paper and glossy patterns create a vivid contrast. The unevenness of the paint due to the hand print that can be seen through the luster of the lacquer creates different textures one by one, producing a profound space. Hue changes variously depending on the angle of light. It is a new material that combines the traditional handprinting method of Karakami with traditional lacquer crafts.
