    Three Phase LV Dry Type Transformer

    ABB is pleased to announce the release of a new line of General Purpose Three-phase LV Dry Type transformers with a 750 kVA capacity. These new units join our comprehensive family of transformers designed to provide long life, quiet, and reliable operation. ABB's 750 kVA Low Voltage Dry Type three-phase transformers are for applications requiring high kVA capacity with common voltage systems. These type QL transformers come in standard NEMA 2 (IP20) painted enclosures with optional rain shield kits available as accessories for NEMA 3R (IP22) installations. The transformer is used to obtain the load voltage from the distribution voltage while providing galvanic isolation. Since no vaults are required for installation, these transformers can be located near the loads to provide the correct voltage for the application. This eliminates the need for long, low voltage feeders.

    Application

    Indoor or outdoor (with optional rain shield kit), three-phase step-down, galvanic isolation, 1.2kV class power transformer. Altitudes up to 1 km without derating, maximum altitude is 15 km.

    Primary network is Delta, Secondary network is Wye.

    Optional lug kits and rain shield kits are available.

    Target markets

    Available for sale primarily in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. General Purpose three-phase Transformers meets both DOE 2016 (10 CFR Part 431) and Canadian NRCan (CSA 802.2) energy efficiency requirements.
