Liège Aquarium-Museum
The University of Liège Aquarium-Museum is a museum institution and one of the main tourist attractions in Belgium. Opened to the public in 1962, it has collections dating back to 1817 from when the University was founded.
In the museum section, the aquatic fauna of the oceans, seas, lakes and rivers around the world is discovered with more than 20,000 specimens of animals from 150 species of the five continents, preserved, naturalised or in the form of skeletons.
