The Condair DS steam distribution unit is designed targeting HRV installations (Heat Recovery Ventilation). It consists of a humidification tube and a steam distribution pipe, which projects steam into the humidification tube for better and shorter absorption.
The steam is generated by a steam humidifier with a maximum capacity of 2.0 kg/h steam. The quantity of steam produced by a steam humidifier flows through the steam distribution pipe into the humidification tube and is finally distributed through the HRV ducts into the living space of a home.
Steam distribution pipe:
Special precision nozzles made of stainless steel extract the steam from the core flow of the steam distribution pipe and distribute it evenly and condensate-free over the cross-sectional area of the humidification tube. Any condensate forming on the inner wall of the steam distribution pipe is quickly and safely removed from the steam distribution pipe via the condensate drain. Due to the V-shaped nozzle arrangement, the steam is distributed evenly in the humidification tube this guaranteeing a short humidification distance.
Due to the use of stainless steel as steam distribution pipe and nozzle material, these are wear-free and resistant to temperature and ageing.
The Condair DS is supplied in a standardised size and can be brought to the desired diameter of the HRV by attaching the reductions. These are available in three standard diameters (ø160mm, ø150mm and ø125mm) and close the duct system via the integrated lip seals. This guarantees flexibility for attachment to existing HRVs.
Installation:
The steam distribution pipe is screwed to the humidification tube and integrated into the HRV as a complete unit. The steam distribution pipe itself is supplied as a complete part. Therefore, the installation effort on site is reduced to a minimum. Mounting holes for the steam distribution pipe are already available ex works.
The steam and condensate hose available in the accessories range is used to supply steam from the steam generator to the Condair DS.
