Lawler Manufacturing Company, established in 1896, manufactures and distributes a wide range of thermostatic mixing valves which are used to blend hot and cold water producing tempered water for individual showers and group showers used in schools, hotels and nursing homes. Other applications include emergency shower and eyewash units, photographic processing, commercial and industrial tempered water, tub spas, wash down stations, and large regulating valves.

- DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
- Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.
- Store and dispose of solvent-based materials, and materials used with solvent-based materials, in accordance with requirements of local authorities having jurisdiction.
- PROJECT CONDITIONS
- Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.

- DOMESTIC WATER MIXING VALVES
- Point of Use Concealed Thermostatic Mixing Valves: Lawler 3000 series; bronze and stainless steel; liquid filled thermostat; color-coded temperature dial; 85 degree F (29 degrees C) to 135 degree F (57 degrees C) temperature range; integral shut-off; adjustable from cold to 115 degree F (46 degrees C); adjustable temperature limit stop; internal parts removed easily for cleaning; ADA compliant handle; ASSE 1016 approved.
- Provide thermostatic valve; (Lawler 3000 series).
- Performance: Temperature maintained to plus/minus 3 degrees F (2 degrees C) if change in hot or cold water is not more than 30 degrees F (17 degrees C); temperature/pressure fluctuations compensated for up to 50 percent drop in inlet supply pressure; water flow reduced if supply or thermostat fails (Lawler 3000 Series).
- Capacity: 5-1/2 gpm (21 lpm) at 45 psi (310 kPa) pressure drop; 1-1/2 gpm (6 lpm) at 5 psi (34 kPa) pressure drop.
- Hot and Cold Inlets and Tempered Outlet Valve Size: 1/2 inch (13 mm).
- Flow Rate: Medium, minimum 1 gpm (4 lpm).
- Finish: Bronze.
- Rectangular faceplate, polished chrome trim, Model 3500.

- EXAMINATION
- Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
- If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
- PREPARATION
- Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
- Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
- INSTALLATION
- Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
- PROTECTION
- Protect installed products until completion of project.
- Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
