Hot Melt waterproofing system on concrete support, inverted heavy duty system with standard insulation: Overview A liquid applied, modified bitumen waterproofing system which forms a strong, durable, flexible, lightweight and self healing monolithic barrier to the transmission of water and vapour. It is designed to last the lifetime of the structure to which it is applied. Duoflex is designed to retain its durability and elasticity and continue to absorb repeated movements and stress in the structure it is protecting. Duoflex is an environmentally friendly formulation of polymer modified bitumen, synthetic rubbers and reinforcements with minimal environmental impact. Installation: Duoflex can be applied in temperatures as low as -15°C. While in use, it does not release any toxic gases or harmful mutagens, neither does it contain any VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). Duoflex requires no curing or on site mixing. Substrate: – Concrete Primer: – Elastocol 500: High bond, high penetration primer blended with elastomeric, polymer modified SBS compound. Spray or roller applied. Coating: – Duoflex: Hot melt, rubberized monolithic bitumen polymer, modified with SBS thermoplastic resin. Reinforcement: – TR200: Spun bound polyester reinforcement carrier, which is embedded into the first coat of Duoflex.
