    Double workspace se:lab twin

Double workplace for regular change of posture. Efficient use of office structure and space: se:lab twin is a double workstation that meets these requirements and at the same time encourages a regular switch between sitting and standing. The design language and modern look are ideal for bench or spine configurations and agile team offices.
    Specification
    • Frame system

The frame must be based on a beam solution consisting of a double support beam and bolted desktop supports which are also used as side panels. The motors and the control must be optimally framed by the double support beams. The high-strength connection of the leg frames with the frame must be achieved by means of a stable screw system with 6 screws in order to ensure optimal force transmission into the frame system.

The frame system of the double workstation units must have a gap of 100 mm between desktops.

The following double workstations must be available:

      · desktops with a depth of 700 mm – 1500 mm total depth

      · desktops with a depth of 800 mm – 1700 mm total depth

      · desktops with a depth of 900 mm – 1900 mm total depth

      Leg frames

The double workstation programme must include the following height adjustment options:

      Motorised height adjustment:

      • 650–1280 mm
      • Round tube motor column
      • • Stroke length 630 mm with double telescope
      • • Diameter of the round supporting column H-frame 76 mm

A workstation with motorised height adjustment must feature two control columns each with a drive. A double workstation unit with motorised height adjustment thus has a total of 4 drives. The motors are to be assembled in steel housings at the upper end of the control columns; these are connected securely to the frame system for optimum transmission of force to the frame. The smooth sliding guide must ensure that the double telescope runs safely and guarantee a high level of stability. The desk columns must be connected to form an H-frame using a cross member. The H-frame offers optimal leg room for users particularly when the double bench units are arranged in a row.

The leg frames must be equipped with adjustment glides to balance out uneven floors.

      System technology

      Linking element

A black spacer must be available for connecting two double workstation units. With desks with motorised height adjustment, in order to prevent injuries from crushing or abrasion, a minimum gap of 25 mm must be left between adjoining surfaces. The spacer must create a gap of 50 mm. Furthermore, a spacer should be provided to prepare for mounting a luminaire. To guide the basic electrical connection along the spacer, two Velcro tapes must be optionally available to secure the cables below the spacer.

      Dismantling set

For future-proof, flexible use, the double bench units must be able to be converted into two individual tables. Instead of the H-frame, 2 foot supports with covers are needed. The set must contain 4 desk columns for the conversion of a double bench unit into individual units.

      Add-on options

It must be possible to attach the following elements using the clamp adapter:

      • function bridges
      • desk-mounted privacy screens
      • workstation lamps
      • monitor holders

A wide range of options must be available when using privacy screens:

      • desk-mounted privacy screens
      • leg-mounted privacy screens

Leg-mounted screens must be attached to the joint base frame using a screw connection:

Thus the top edge of the privacy screen forms a uniform level in the room, regardless of the height setting of the desk. The entire adjustment range must be covered by the screen.

      CPU holder

The CPU holder must be mounted under the desktop. The usable size of the supporting plate must be 450 x 205 mm. The maximum load capacity is not to exceed 10 kg.

      Laptop holders

A laptop holder must be available for the desk series. The holder must be mounted under the desktop. The usable size of the supporting plate with a maximum load of 10 kg must be 350 x 330 mm.

      Drawer attached underneath the desk

A drawer attached under the desk must be provided. It must consist of a metal housing, which is screwed under the desktop, and a pull-out felt tray. The internal dimensions must be 349 x 225 mm and a height must be 70 mm, to offer sufficient storage space for everyday items, such as pens, notebooks and smartphones. It must be possible to powder-coat the metal housing in five modern colours. The felt shell must be in the colours anthracite and light grey. It must be possible to select the drawer attached underneath with a lock as an option. The maximum load capacity is not to exceed 10 kg.

      Power and data cabling

      Workstation-specific electrification

      Horizontal cable management

For horizontal cable management, a set of freely positionable Velcro strips must be available, which can be attached under the desktop by means of double-sided adhesive tape. The set must include seven mounting plates with a Velcro strip.

A cable net for free positioning under the desktop must also be available. The cable net must have a size of 280 x 200 mm and be elastic.

The cable trays, which fold down on both sides, which must be matched to the width of the desk, must be attached below the desktop. They must have 3- or 4-socket modules to allow electrical connection under the desk. The cable trays must offer sufficient space for spare cables and offer easy access when folded down.

      Vertical cable management

It should be possible to invisibly guide cables from the floor to the cable channel by means of an optional cable chain.

The following versions must be provided:

      • cable chain from floor to basic electrical connection
      • cable chain from basic electrical connection to individual cable tray
      • cable chain from floor to individual cable tray

The cable chains must have cable separation and strain relief.

      Desktops

The desktops must be available in the following versions:The desktops are available in the following versions:

      19 mm three-layer chipboard:

      • Melamine resin coating in a single colour or various decorative wood effects (top surface compliant with EN 14322)
        • Desktops/components with the zero-joint edge in the same colour as the top
      • Matt soft touch surfaces with pleasant haptic properties and an all-round 1 mm ABS edge in the same colour as the top
      • High-quality crown cut veneer surface, veneer edge on all sides, surface in a high-quality, durable, two-component water-based polyurethane lacquer.

      Packaging

Items must be supplied in sections for on-site final assembly in order to keep the transport volume as small as possible.
