Angle adapter 90° F x Rp thread - C-Steel press fitting - V profile - FRABOPRESS C-STEEL V

Frabo

Value for money, lightness, practicality and speed of use make carbon steel press fittings FRABOPRESS C-STEEL V the ideal product in the installations of closed circuit heating/cooling systems, closed circuit water/fire prevention systems (sprinkler), distribution of inert gases and compressed air. SECURFRABO is the system patented by FRABO, which allows any unpressed fitting to be detected.

The zinc plating applied to the pipes and fittings guarantees higher corrosion resistance, ensuring reliability over time. FRABOPRESS C-STEEL V press fittings are made of carbon steel (material no. 1.0034) and are electrolytically zinc plated with zinc thicknesses of between 8 and 15 µ with blue chrome-plated passivation.

FRABOPRESS C-STEEL V ADVANTAGES:

• Quick cold connection;
• Lightness of the piping, which means easy assembly and cheap installation;
• Performance that can cover a large number of civil and industrial applications;
• Installations carried out with FRABOPRESS C-STEEL V do not need any further pipe protection or painting (with the exception of the envisaged insulation activities);
• FRABOPRESS C-STEEL system is equipped with the innovative SECURFRABO system for detecting leaks on unpressed fittings, which constitutes a precious feature for safe testing and for identifying any lack of pressing.

FRABOPRESS C-STEEL V IS SUITABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING FIELDS OF APPLICATIONS:

• Heating (closed circuit)
• Cooling (closed circuit)
• Oil free compressed air (residual oil < 5 mg/m³)
• Sprinkler

Specification
  • FRABOPRESS C-STEEL V is a system made of pipes and fittings in galvanized non-alloy steel, material type 1.0034 (E195), complying with the requirements of UNI 11179 Class 1 standard, equipped with a cylindrical guide for the correct and safe insertion of the pipe and a preassembled elastomeric sealing element in black EPDM.

    FRABOPRESS C-STEEL V fittings are equipped with the SECURFRABO safety system, whose functionality is tested in accordance with the DWGW W 534 work sheet (Point 12.14 - Fittings with controlled leakage), which allows any un-pressed fittings to be detected. During leakage tests with water, Securfrabo system guarantees the identification of un-pressed connection in the pressure range from 1 bar to 6.5 bar.

    The pressing of the fittings is to be carried out with a suitable tool and with a correctly maintained pressing jaw, so as to achieve an indissoluble cold junction, resistant to torsion, and a hydraulic seal guaranteed by the O-ring. The right junction of Frabo fittings guarantees the use of the system considering a maximum temperature of 110 ° C, a minimum temperature of -10 ° C and a maximum pressure of 16 bar (conditions related to the transport of water).

    The special zinc plating applied to pipes and fittings guarantees superior anti-corrosion performance, ensuring long-lasting reliability.

    The system complies with UNI 11179 Class 1 standard.

    FRABOPRESS C-STEEL V system can be used for the following applications:

    • Heating and cooling closed circuit systems*
    • Industrial installations*
    • Oil free compressed air circuit systems (residual oil <5 mg/m³)
    • Compressed air circuit systems (residual oil >5 mg/m³) ***
    • Sprinkler units according to UNI EN 12845**

    * any additives contained in the cooling circuit must be compatible with the EPDM O-rings

    ** Sprinkler fire-fighting systems. Please contact our technical department for further information regarding fire protection applications

    *** for this application GREEN FKM O-RING must be used

    Temperature and pressure for each application are available on Frabo technical documents www.frabo.com.

    For uses other than those mentioned thus far, please contact the FRABO technical support office.

    The system IS NOT SUITABLE FOR DRINKING WATER, as highlighted on each piece by the special red marking.

    Pipes available for FRABOPRESS C-STEEL V system are:

    - Pipes with thin walls and longitudinal welding, made of carbon steel according to UNI EN 10305-3 standard. The pipe is therefore zinc-plated both externally and internally with a uniform layer of zinc at least 10 μm thick in the welding area, and about 20 μm in the others.

    - Pipes with thin walls and longitudinal welding, made of carbon steel according to UNI EN 10305-3 standard, externally protected with galvanized zinc coating with a thickness of 8-15 μm

    - Pipes with thin walls and longitudinal welding, made of carbon steel according to UNI EN 10305-3 standard, further protected from external corrosion by a polypropylene (PP) coating not suitable with fluid temperatures >100 ° C.

    In air conditioning and chilled water systems, it is advisable to use the pipe with polypropylene (PP) coating in addition to the insulation of the pipe and appropriate insulation of the fittings with strips and bandages of the same type in order to guarantee correct sealing.

    If you use bare pipes, it is recommended to use insulating materials with closed cells, with μ ≥ 10,000, correctly welded along the junction, protecting the fittings with strips and bandages of the same type.
