TTE® grids are a permeable floor covering which permit the natural infiltration of rainwater on surfaces which are designed for the circulation of vehicles and persons.
O2D ENVIRONNEMENT has developed green and mineral-based systems for the deployment of permeable parking spaces, drainage-enhanced carpark access roads, grassed parking spaces, drainage-enhanced paved or gravel parking spaces, green emergency service access roads, PRM-accessible permeable pedestrian walkways, internal courtyards, etc.
Technical advantages of TTE® grids:
- Resistance and distribution of loads
Exceptional static load resistance: 10 Newtons/mm² (equivalent to 1,000 tonnes/m²). Optimum lateral load distribution delivered by the structure of grids, their assembly system and the large ground contact surface area.
- Versatility of infills on a single foundation structure
Flexibility of design for layouts incorporating considerations of use and landscaping preferences: 100% green, grassed with paved tread surfaces, checkerboard paving/grassing, etc.
- Protection of grass
14 mm cellular wall thickness and recommended infill to a level of -1 cm for the optimum protection of the root structure of grass.
Environmental benefits:
- Conservation of water resources
- Reduction of the urban heat island effect
- Conducive to the biodiversity of soils
Applications:
- Green parking spaces
- Permeable paved parking spaces
- Permeable gravel parking spaces
- Permeable light vehicle access roads
- Green emergency service access roads
- PRM-accessible permeable parking spaces
- Pedestrian or cycle paths
Each system developed by O2D ENVIRONNEMENT is comprised of a base covering (TTE® grids), an infill and an appropriate foundation composition.
• TTE MULTIDRAIN system: TTE® grids for grassing + fertile foundation materials
• O2D GREEN system: pre-grassed TTE® grids + fertile foundation materials
• O2D PAVE system: TTE® grids for paving infill + mineral foundation materials
• O2D MINERAL system: TTE® grids for gravel infill + mineral foundation materials
A genuinely green material, TTE® grids are produced from recycled household wastes, using the German DUAL system. This material represents the outcome of a high-grade recycling system, from the collection of domestic household packaging through to industrial processing. Recycled, recyclable and reversible, this material contributes to the achievement of a circular economy.
The TTE® system is recommended in the context of development projects which incorporate the sustainable management of rainwater. It provides an alternative to porous surfacing, green concrete foundation slabs or paving slabs with plant growth between joints. This system has been specifically developed for the finishing of permeable and green parking spaces and access roads. The TTE® system provides a technical response to the dictates of load-bearing, infiltration and long-term sustainability of grassing, whilst ensuring successful landscape integration thanks to the versatility of infills.
