KM-FD 2000 FIRE RESISTANT VENTILATION GRILLE

KM–FD2000 is a fire proofing ventilation grille to preserve the air inlet and outlet area in compartment structures or as an alternative to a fire fighting air lock in conditioned air plants.

DESCRIPTION

The KM – FD2000 grille is made up of a calcium silicate frame, the fins are covered on both sides with           KM-FF107 thermo-expandable strips.

The grille is put in the hole of the wall or the door and fixed with fireproofing  KM SEALER F putty. The grille can also be inserted into the air duct as an alternative to a fire fighting air lock. In case of fire or hot smokes, the intumescent strips expand and seal the grille.

    FEATURES

    KM-FD2000 is a fire fighting grille to protect the ventilation windows in walls, doors or ducts and in replacement of fire-fighting airlocks.

    The frame is made up of calcium silicate. The grills are covered with graphitic intumescent strips KM-FF107.

    APPLICATION

    The grille can be inserted inside the duct and fixed with self-tapping screws or  KM SEALER F fire-proofing putty.

    Any gaps between grille and the support element can be sealed with silicone-based fire-proofing putty           KM SEALER F.

    Square grilles are put in circular section ducts and the empty area of the circular cross-section is sealed with graphitic intumescent sponge KM-FF108, sealed with silicone fire-proofing KM SEALER F putty.
