Forever Barnwood Box Beams are available in any combination of 4″, 6″, 8″, and 10″ width and height, in lengths far greater than our solid beams. Our beams are available as 3-sided u-beams and 4-sided box beams. Our unique miter lock joint makes it almost impossible to notice where the boards come together. Forever Barnwood Box Beams are lightweight. This makes the beams much easier to work with than our authentic solid beams.

Individually handcrafted and kiln dried to 5-8% (millwork standard) for product stability.

Both of our beam options are used frequently for non-structural coffered ceilings, and a variety of suspended beam designs.

Easy to Install
Here is a simple way to install your Forever Barnwood 3-sided hollow box beam on any flat surface.
1. Find the backing in the wall – If it is new construction, place backing in the areas where your beams will be installed. If no backing exists, you will have to locate the trusses or wall framing – those will become your anchor points.
2. For general purposes, use 2× material ripped to fit inside, the inside dimension of the U-beam. Run these as continuous as possible for the entire length of the box beam. Anchor these boards to the wall – into the backing, truss , or framing with a wood screw (minimum of 3").
3. Slide the box beams over the scabs until the box beam is flush and tight to the sheetrock or similar surface. Using 1 ½” trim head screw, run through the exterior of the box beam and into the scab to secure the box beam to the surface.
