Rainscreen Cladding Panels - Face Fastened

Ductal® at a Glance

Fiber reinforced ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) offers durable, thin panels
Low porosity for extreme durability
Ductile behavior due to addition of organic or glass fibers
Can be used in ventilated or rainscreen facade systems
Can be used alone, combined with other materials or as part of an external thermal insulation system

Specification
  • Durability
Low porosity means resistance to abrasion, carbonation, penetration of chloride ions and freeze/thaw
Resistant to fire without additional chemical treatment, making it ideal for use on housing projects and public buildings
Exceptionally strong and impact resistant thanks to mechanical performance characteristics (Ductal® is around 6-8 times stronger than conventional concrete)
Ductility makes Ductal® an agile material, that can support some deflection while allowing minor, tolerated cracking - making it suitable for even the most ambitious construction projects
    Low maintenance
Several surface treatments increase resistance and durability, such as water repellence (to protect against efflorescence and soiling), anti-graffiti (for publicly accessible areas) and glazing (for color customization and shine)

    Choice
Ensure the singularity of your project through a variety of:
    Colors

    Competitive Solution
Ductal® rainscreen cladding adapts to any project demands. It unites resistance and strength at a competitive price. Better still, use and maintenance costs are reduced because of the panel's durability.

    Environmental Impacts Benefits
Our research teams have completed an environmental life-cycle analysis on three different rainscreen cladding panel solutions: Ductal® Ultra-high Performance Concrete (UHPC), compact laminate (HPL) and aluminum. The study was carried out on an 8-story reference building, with all three solutions designed to achieve the same thermal performance.
    The study shows that Ductal:
Reduces greenhouse gas emissions by two to three times when compared to HPL and aluminum
Uses six times less water than HPL and three times less than Aluminum
Produces far less waste than HPL, particularly in the production phase
