The Fire Rated Non-Insulated Access Door, BA-FRN, from Best Access Doors is the ultimate answer to your fire rated access door needs!

The BA-FRN Access Door is non-insulated and can only be used on fire-rated walls. It offers a 16-gauge cold-rolled steel frame and 20-gauge galvanneal steel door for a robust construction, as well as a continuous piano hinge and an inside panel release equipped with automatic panel closer, a standard feature for all sizes of this model!  It is a quick and flush installation on any surface material, thanks to its 1” flange. 

Thinking of matching the access door to the surrounding area? Contractors enjoy its standard Dupont high-quality white powder coat – ready to be painted right after installation!  We also offer popular finishes such as stainless steel #4 (brushed finish).

Another great benefit of choosing this fire door model is that it allows latch customizations. You can choose from the popular option of key operated cylinder cam; 4” handle operated slam; hex head slam; mortise slam prep); or the mortise slam with cylinder. For tamper-proof protection, this model is equipped with a self-latching tool-key operated slam latch and/or ring operated slam latch; both included for every purchase.  

For installation in vertical wall assemblies, the BA-FRN has a fire rating of up to 1 ½ hours. The largest this fire rated non-insulated access panel available is up to 36” x 36”. Contractors is proud to use this fire-rated product as it is certified Intertek Warnock Hersey and compliant to NFPA requirements. On top of that, it is also LEED-certified, which allows you to gain LEED credits for new construction and major renovations, schools, and commercial interiors!

As per UL standards, once the installation is complete and the provided springs installed, this access door will be self-closing and self-locking.
