    New sustainable solution

The roller shade with cassette and guides that runs on renewable energy.

Bandalux has launched its new Solar B-Box. It is an outdoor blind that has a built-in solar panel, a battery, and a motor that runs completely on renewable energy from the Sun. The solar-powered B-BOX does not need electrical wiring. The solar panel captures the sunlight and turns it into electric power to load the motor’s battery, which makes the blind 100% autonomous. This new solution is ideal for any type of home, as it reduces reliance on electric power and makes it possible to cut down on electricity bills. In addition, it contributes to the creation of sustainable spaces that deliver greater well-being to users.

    • Outdoor installation: The Solar B-Box must be installed outdoors and shady façades avoided, as they hinder the battery from being properly recharged. The solar cells must be kept free of any elements in front of them at all times.
    • Accessible box for greater ease of maintenance: The solar panel is found at the bottom of the box, next to the motor. The blind’s box is accessible and houses a rechargeable battery* inside that facilitates access to it should it have to be replaced or maintained. The motor works with Somfy RTS technology, controlled by a remote control.
    • Warranty: The motor, solar panel and battery of the new B-Box Solar have a 7-year warranty, complying with the European Civil Code.
    • Easy to clean: Maintenance of the solar panel is very simple: it can be cleaned with clean water, neutral soap and a soft cloth, avoiding scratching the photovoltaic cells.
