ActionWood Flex - Floating Panel System
This floating system shares the same features as our ActionWood system, with the addition of a foam underlayment and dual plywood layers to provide resilience not found in typical direct, glue-down systems.
This cost effective solid subfloor system combines increased comfort, safely, and performance with uniform, cross-balanced stability. The continuous pad and sturdy understructure floor system is uniform for playability. This system utilizes affordable mastic set parquet hardwood flooring. ActionWood Flex is a floating system using a continuous 1/2”(12mm) foam pad, two layers of 15/32"(12mm) CD exposure-1 rated CD plywood, and mastic set maple hardwood flooring. The whole system "floats" over the concrete slab creating resilience not found in typical direct glue-down applications. The finished hardwood flooring is 5/16"(7mm) or 7/16"(11mm) thick, square edge, edge grain MFMA northern hard maple.
