Lumax® 51 and 68 High-Performance Glasses

Lumax® 51 and 68 High-Performance Glasses

The Perfect Balance Is Within Your Reach

Available in Mexico, Lumax® 51 and 68 deliver the right amount of natural light for your building’s needs, achieving up to 33% more solar heat reduction than regular clear glass.

If more natural light enters my home or office, am I also allowing heat to pass through?

Traditional reflective glasses, even when they are effective in blocking heat, are regularly dark and/or have high reflectance (mirror effect), which prevents your spaces from being connected to the outside and increases your cost of artificial lighting inside. Instead, Lumax ® glass allows you to receive up to 6 times more natural light, providing a fresh and bright atmosphere while protecting you from solar heat. Lumax ® reflectivity values are low and pleasant, preventing effects of glare that can impact the aesthetics of your windows or façade.

Lumax ® presents a high-performance MSVD coating, applied on the second surface, that allows a monolithic installation. However, Vitro recommends opting for a double-insulating glass unit to improve thermal insulation performance of the system, along with the added benefits of acoustic control, added durability and decreased HVAC and electricity costs.

Lumax ® provides maximum processing flexibility and can be laminated, tempered or heat-strengthened to satisfy increasing strength or safety glazing requirements. It is available over a clear glass substrate on 6mm, in two different sizes, 1.80m x 2.50m and 2.50m x 3.60m.
