IPÊ Deck Tiles Features
IPÊ Deck Tiles are designed for constructing raised wood decks over exterior surfaces such as rooftops, terraces and plazas, in both residential and commercial applications. Tile Tech’s IPÊ Wood Tiles are constructed from kiln-dried 1×3 IPÊ wood face slats secured to IPÊ wood support runners (battens) using corrosion-resistant stainless steel screws resulting in high structural strength, dimensional stability, and low flexing.
IPÊ wood is renowned for its exceptional durability. It is a dense and hardwood species, making it resistant to scratches, dents, and general wear and tear. This durability is especially beneficial in commercial settings where high foot traffic and heavy deck furnishings may be common.
Installation of Tile Tech’s IPÊ deck tiles are similar to steps for our porcelain pavers on pedestal systems. Like our Hex-Tray System™, IPÊ deck tiles have a slot cut in each corner enabling a deck screw and Lock-Disk™ component to be inserted. The screw is invisibly inserted into the pedestal head with the Lock-Disk™ holding down the corner of the pedestals, ensuring a safe, secure and level surface.
