Basement rooms are usually dark. For this reason, windows are installed that provide access to daylight through light wells, while at the same time protecting against the pressing soil. The SKYFLOOR BL ensures that the maximum amount of light is also transported into basements. At the same time, the area remains accessible so as not to restrict garden and traffic areas.The yield of the incoming light and the visual appearance of conventional light wells are often unsatisfactory due to the very solid steel grating. SKYFLOOR BL represents the optimum solution here,consisting of walk-on floor glass and shaft cover. The existing grating is replaced by a walk-on glass cover framed in brushed stainless steel. This allows the incident daylight to be channelled into the basement without barriers and with maximum light yield. The shaft and the neighbouring basement room remain ventilated thanks to a ventilation rail running along the wall of the building.
