AGEPAN® THD Install - butt-edged wood fibre insulation board

AGEPAN® THD Install - butt-edged wood fibre insulation board

AGEPAN® THD Install is a butt-edged wood fibre insulation board. It is vapour-permeable, thermal insulating and hygroscopic, and can be used as an installation layer or as pressure-resistant internal insulation in roof and wall areas. The solid surface layer enables plasterboards to be fastened directly to AGEPAN® THD Install. Our product is ideal for quick-to-lay installation layers, offering a solid layer without cavities, which improves room acoustics. It supports the fastening of loads weighing up to 25 kg per screw (6 x 50 mm). It provides excellent sound insulation by decoupling gypsum boards, minimizing thermal bridges through full-surface thermal insulation. This results in significant labor savings due to the easy installation process, as no battens are required. The product is exceptionally pressure-resistant, thanks to its asymmetrical bulk density profile. It allows for the quick integration of ducts and supports F 90-B (REI 90) constructions within the AGEPAN® SYSTEM. AGEPAN® OSB Ecoboard® can be directly attached, and gypsum boards can be fitted directly to AGEPAN® THD Install using approved screws and staples, without the need to fasten to the AGEPAN® OSB Ecoboard® behind. Additionally, it is economical to work with and safe to handle. Manufactured in Germany, the product is hydrophobic throughout and formaldehyde-free glued. Our strict quality controls ensure consistently high quality.

Areas of application:

• Can be used as internal insulation in wall and roof areas

• Installation layer can be plastered directly with approved product (e. g. Rotkalk, Knauf Gips KG)

• Clayboard systems with Claytec, Viersen (Germany)

Specification
  • AGEPAN® THD Install is an insulation board made from wood fiber and complies with EN 13171. Interior use as insulation board and installation layer. The denser side of the asymetrical bulk density profil of the AGEPAN THD Install faces the room and makes applying gypsum boards or plaster easy.
