Frame system
The frame system allows intuitive and smooth folding of the table. This is made possible by a gearwheel mechanism which allows synchronous unfolding of the two table halves.
When the table is folded together, lifting of the table tops is assisted mechanically. This function is made possible by the use of gas springs.
To prevent accidental unfolding of the table the kinematics of the folding mechanism are designed so that a clearly perceptible resistance must be overcome for the table to unfold.
In its unfolded state the table is automatically pre-engaged to prevent accidental folding when weight is applied to the table tops (e.g. sitting on the table) (Securelock System).
The locking levers permanently ensure the flush position of the two table tops. Operation is possible from either side, but locking on one side must be sufficient.
The two table tops are stabilised against torsion by aluminium support beams on the long side and aluminium trays on the inside front. The aluminium support beams are positioned at least 60 cm apart to allow the installation of built-in socket modules.
The four tubular table legs are supported by two diagonally extending tubular tension rods.
All table legs have lockable castors with a diameter of 100 mm.
The table is delivered fully assembled.
Substrate
The use of 25 mm three-layer chipboard is appropriate to the substrate compliant with EN 312-2003.
Only E1 quality chipboard is used.
Table tops
The following table top alternatives are available:
- Melamine resin coating in a single colour or various decorative wood effects (top surface compliant with EN 14322), all-round PP laser edging and integrated end profile made of black elastomer
The minimum light-fastness is 6 on the wool scale. - High-quality crown cut veneer surface, 3 mm veneer edge on all sides and integrated end profile made of black elastomer
- Linoleum (colour black L20, sand L22) with real wood in Hickory Natural (Q10), optionally other veneer edges according to the Sedus veneer range.
- HPL surface soft touch: The matt soft touch surface is a laminate based on hardenable resins. The top layer of paper is coated in a separate manufacturing process and then electron beam hardened. The result is a velvety, warm surface with anti-fingerprint properties, characterised by its high resistance to abrasion, impact and scratches.
