100% paved on mineral foundation - complete O2D system

The O2D PAVE® system is comprised of TTE® MultidrainPlus support grids, TTE® concrete paving infill and drainage-enhanced load-bearing mineral foundations.

This permeable floor covering permits the deployment of drainage-enhanced paved parking spaces, permeable paved parking spaces, light vehicle access roads, pedestrian walkways and cycle paths, and permeable squares and internal courtyards. The O2D PAVE® system combines permeability and accessibility: gaps and projections of less than 2 cm permit access to persons with reduced mobility (PRM).

The O2D PAVE® system provides multiple benefits:
          - Technical advantages: optimum load-bearing and load distribution capabilities (exceptional static load resistance: 10 Newtons/mm², equivalent to 1,000 tonnes/m²)
          - Applications: flexibility of design associated with the versatility of infills (paving available in nine colours for the formation of markings, option for the combination of paved/grass/gravel infills) and low maintenance (collection of autumn leaves)
          - Environmental benefits: conservation of water resources and reduction of the urban heat island effect

TTE® MultidrainPlus grids constitute an eco-material generated by a high-grade recycling system, produced from recycled household wastes (using the German DUAL system). Recycled, recyclable and reversible, this material contributes to the achievement of a circular economy. The permeable surfacing systems developed by O2D ENVIRONNEMENT are recommended in the context of eco design projects, incorporating the natural infiltration of rainwater and the provision of green surfaces.

Applications: drainage-enhanced parking spaces, permeable parking spaces, drainage-enhanced paved parking spaces, permeable paved parking spaces, permeable paved light vehicle access roads, squares and internal courtyards, PRM accessibility

    Specification
    • Technical information on the mineral foundation for light vehicle parking with O2D PAVE® system

      Composition :
      •  15 cm thickness: 2/20 mm or 2/32 mm crushed roadbed foundation
      •  3 cm thickness: 4/6 mm or 3/8 mm crushed roadbed bearing course

Prepared base/sub-base (-23 cm in relation to level 0):
      •  The requisite permeability below this foundation system is such that K > 10-6 m/s
      •  The load-bearing level required is such that EV2 > 40 MPa (EV2/EV1 < 2)
      •  We recommend the installation of a permeable anti-contaminant geotextile membrane

This mineral foundation composition ensures both load-bearing capability and drainage. It is recommended that the thickness of the sub-base (for example, 20/40 mm crushed drainage gravel) should be adjusted and/or any other facility should be incorporated, if the natural ground surface does not possess the requisite infiltration properties, or for the satisfaction of project design requirements. The load-bearing level should be appropriate to the intended application.
