The green systems for firemen access roads (O2D GREEN® pre-grassed system and TTE® MultidrainPlus system for grassing) constitute a combination of TTE® MultidrainPlus support grids, grass infill and drainage-enhanced load-bearing fertile foundation materials, adapted to firetrucks traffic.
This permeable floor covering permits the deployment of grassed emergency service access roads or permeable with a mix of grass and paving. The O2D GREEN® pre-grassed system or the TTE® MultidrainPlus system for grassing combine permeability with the long-term sustainability of grassing.
A chevron layout pattern is employed (grid dimensions: 80 x 40 cm), and physical edging structures are provided.
Emergency service access roads feature a standard width of 400 cm. Naturally, it is possible for dimensions to be adapted.
TTE® green systems provide multiple benefits:
- Technical advantages: optimum load-bearing and load distribution capabilities (exceptional static load resistance: 10 Newtons/mm², equivalent to 1,000 tonnes/m² | Puncture resistance > 100 kN on a surface of diameter 20 cm), optimum protection of the root system of grass provided by a 14 mm cellular wall thickness and substrate filling to a level of -1 cm
- Applications: flexibility of design and adaptability to applications associated with the versatility of infills (with a single base structure for different grass, paving or gravel infills/ option for the formation of markings or tread surfaces)
- Environmental benefits: conservation of water resources, greening of spaces, promotion of the biodiversity of soils, reduction of the urban heat island effect
TTE® MultidrainPlus grids constitute an eco-material generated by a high-grade recycling system, produced from recycled household wastes (using the German DUAL system). Recycled, recyclable and reversible, this material contributes to the achievement of a circular economy. The permeable surfacing systems developed by O2D ENVIRONNEMENT are recommended in the context of eco design projects, incorporating the natural infiltration of rainwater and the provision of green surfaces.
Applications: green emergency service access roads, green firemen access roads, permeable emergency service access roads, permeable firemen access roads
