KIM - Krystol Internal Membrane

KIM - Krystol Internal Membrane

Krystol Internal Membrane (KIM) is a hydrophilic crystalline admixture used to create permanently waterproof concrete.

Architects and engineers seeking reliable solutions for water infrastructure projects can rely on Kryton's Smart Concrete technology. Our products deliver permanent watertightness and durability, extending the concrete's lifespan and significantly reducing the total cost of ownership. Kryton's solutions also minimize the structure's embodied carbon footprint, helping meet sustainability goals while effectively combating common issues like leaks, corrosion, and erosion caused by ASR, freeze-thaw cycles, H2S, and others.

Specification
  • KIM contains Krystol technology which offers built-in waterproofing and water tightness. While many products in the market react with free lime, which diminishes over time, KIM interacts directly with water and un-hydrated cement particles. This reaction produces insoluble crystals that fill the concrete's pores and micro-cracks, blocking water and contaminants from entering or exiting the structure. The brilliance of KIM is its enduring

    • Lowers the cost of waterproofing
    • Helps to shave weeks off of construction schedules
    • Reduces the cost of maintenance and repairs
    • Increases reliability and quality control
    • Increases revenues with a larger building footprint
    • Safe for contact with potable water and Certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI Standard 61 Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects
    • Winner of the Most Innovative Product Award at World of Concrete in 2003
