GoBoard Tile Backer Board

GoBoard® is the ultra-lightweight, waterproof tile backer board from Johns Manville. It’s engineered for durability, yet is up to 80% lighter than cement boards. GoBoard is easy to handle and can be cut right where it’s installed with a basic utility knife, without crumbling or disintegrating. Best of all, it has waterproofing already built-in.

GoBoard composite backer boards provide equivalent performance to ANSI A118.9, and as a waterproof membrane in wet areas, provides equivalent performance to ANSI A118.10 when installed in accordance with Section 4.2.4 of the ICC-ES evaluation report.

  • GoBoard Tile Backer Board is available in six thicknesses.

    • 1/4-inch for floors and countertops
    • 1/2-inch and 5/8-inch for walls, showers, ceilings, and floors
    • 1-inch, 1 1/2-inch, and 2-inc for walls, benches, shelves, tub surrounds, vanities, and countertops

    GoBoard Tile Backer Board panels are available in three dimensions.
