The TERMOSOGLIA system has been designed and manufactured to cover (or replace) existing window sills in order to completely avoid the thermal bridge (and consequently zero heat loss) typical of stone materials, generally used at the base of windows.
TERMOSOGLIA is characterised by a minimum thickness starting at only 8 mm. It is completely waterproof thanks to its fibreglass support (composed of thixotropic polyester resins, mineral fillers, and Mat 450 g/m2 fibreglass) coupled with a closed-cell polyurethane foam membrane and externally coated with an isoneopentyl GelCoat (0.1 to 2 mm thick).
The marine-derived GelCoat makes TERMOSOGLIA extremely durable over time: it resists weathering, sunlight and temperature changes.
TERMOSOGLIA is covered by an Italian patent for industrial invention as a "Multilayer thermal insulation artefact and the procedure for obtaining said artefact".
For a higher degree of thermal insulation of windows, it is possible to combine the TERMOIMBOTTE sill, the innovative solution specifically designed to thermally insulate the internal reveal, without reducing the window opening.
