WINDOW STRUCTURE

The type F flat roof window features a sleek modern look, characterised by excellent thermal insulation parameters. The structure of the frame is the same as for flat roof windows with a dome however the main difference lies in the glazing unit which is bonded using modern manufacturing technologies to produce a highly aesthetic and innovative design. The frame is constructed of multi-chamber PVC profiles filled with insulation material.

A minimalist and perfect designed DEF flat roof window has been awarded with prestigious Red Dot Design Award.

D_F WINDOW - COLOURLINE VERSION

The ColorLine D_F thermo flat roof skylight is available in hundreds of different colors within the RAL Classic Palette to match a variety of exterior colors and designs.

GLAZING

The type F has energy-efficient with triple DU6 glazing. The external glass is 1/4" (6mm) thick and laminated for superior protection against impact such as hail. The high R-value and tightness of the triple and quadruple glazed skylights make this skylight suitable for energy-efficient and passive house projects. The heat transmittance co-efficient for the whole skylight with triple glaze (DU6) is U=0.70 W/m²K*(to EN 14351-1) while the heat transmittance co-efficient for the whole skylight is U=0.64 W/m²K** (to EN 14351-1), making.

*equivalent R-Value 8.1

**equivalent R-Value 8.9

THE EXCELLENT SOUND INSULATION

The DEF flat roof window featuring a double-chamber DU6 glazing has been tested for sound insulation during heavy rain. The result, LIA= 36 [dB]*, confirms the high level of resistance against sound penetration making the skylight ideal for sound reduction.

*as per ISO 10140-1/A2:2014; The result also applies to skylights: fixed DXF DU6, manual DMF DU6, fixed DXF SECURE (PK) DU6, manual DMF SECURE (PK) DU6, roof access DRF DU6

ACCESSORIES

External and internal blinds are available in a variety of colors and can be installed while the skylight is being installed or anytime after the skylight’s installation. External awning blinds are the most effective method of protecting rooms from overheating from the heat of the sun. Both internal and external blinds are available in solar, electrical or manually operated versions. Various control accessories such as a wall switch and opening rods are also available for the electrically (DEF) and manually (DMF) operated skylights.

INSTALLATION RANGE

The D_F flat roof skylight is suitable for roof pitches between 2 and 15 degrees (maximum slope up to 3/12).

AVAILABLE SIZES

A wide range of standard sizes make the D_F skylight suitable for retrofits and new builds in North America.
