Corning Rapid Connect Enclosures are designed to manage the Interconnect of pre-terminated outside plant cables and pre-terminated fire -retardant indoor cables in fiber optic networks. These rugged and versatile enclosures are ideal for use in Data Center Interconnect applications.
The RXD-OPE was designed with simplified cable assembly entry and management in mind. Removable top and bottom cover plates along with a split-able foam cable entry area ensure enhanced accessibility during installation. Cable assembly installation is achieved with the use of quick and simple retention clips that are provided with the enclosure. Rapid Connect Patch enclosures provide ease of installation and enhanced time savings over alternative patching configurations and traditional splice enclosures.
The Rapid Connect patch trays accept up to 12 -MTP connectors per tray. This provides maximum capacity of 6912 Interconnected fibers when using 24 fiber MTP connections or 3456 interconnected fibers when using 12 fiber MTP connections.
The RXD-OPE accommodates up to 4 outside plant cable assembly entries and up to 24 inside plant cable assembly entries. Each RXD-OPE is shipped with accessories for wall-mounted and 19" equipment rack applications. An optional 23" equipment rack mounting kit is sold separately. The RXD-OPE is available with or without a lock.
