BCSF-SL – Floor Expansion Joint Compression Seal
Balco USA

BCSF-SL – Floor Expansion Joint Compression Seal

Precompressed polyurethane microcell foam, impregnated with a hydrophobic polymer compound that is UV stable and chemically resistant. The exposed surface is coated with a colorized, silicone coating. When installed in a properly sized joint, BCSF forms a watertight, dust-proof, airtight, soundproof insulated seal. It is permanently resilient and will expand and contract with the movement of the joint under any weather condition. BCSF is supplied in precompressed, self-adhesive rolls or stick form.

IDEAL FOR:

  • Applications where a narrow, recessed and colorable joint cover is preferred for blending with interior finishes
  • Expansion joints in post-tension concrete and other applications where mechanical fasteners are impractical or not permitted
  • Watertight applications
  • Above grade applications
  • Exterior slabs

ADVANTAGES:

  • Ease of installation
  • Excellent compression recovery
  • Excellent resistance to mildew and UV
  • Does not require mechanical fasteners
  • Not based on asphaltic or bitumastic impregnation
  • Conforms to joint irregularities, provided they are not sudden or extreme.

OPTIONS:

  • Fire barrier

Balco Expansion Joint Systems and Seismic Joint Covers blend aesthetically appealing finishes with high performance-tested materials and safety features (i.e. fire rating and ADA compliance).
