MB-79N US SI Window Type A 1-sash Fixed

The ALUPROF MB-79N US is a solution which is cost-effective and functional, while meeting every technical requirement. The system is used to build windows featuring sashes that are invisible from the outside. In a row of adjacent fixed and operable windows, it is impossible to distinguish between the two types. The result is an elevation where the windows present a uniform view, irrespective of their function.

The MB-79N US system is a finely tuned solution. Two versions of the rebate are available; the A-type frame partially covers the sash, while the B-type frame covers it completely in an ideal imitation of a fixed window. The external surfaces of the glass fitted to the operable and fixed windows lie on the same plane. A custom-designed adaptation profile means that frames and crosspieces from the basic MB-79N system can be used for the concealed sash windows.

Large-scale, heavy windows can be produced with the MB-79N US. Like the basic MB-79N window system, these structures are distinctive both for their high thermal and acoustic insulation and their water- and airtight properties. The MB-79N US meets every energy efficiency and environmental protection requirement.

    Specification
    • Functions and aesthetics

      • the structural depth of the profiles is 70 mm for the frame and 79 mm for the sash
      • the profiles are designed for triple-glazing, with the central section serving as insulation between thermal breaks that are 33.5 or 36 mm wide
      • the sash features an innovative, reinforced thermal break section which is highly deflection-resistant
      • Like the MB-79N, this system makes it possible to produce windows in one of three thermal insulation variants. The MB-79N US E is the most economic solution, featuring a one-component, central gasket. The MB-79N US ST is fitted with a two-component gasket, while the MB-79N US SI, which offers the best thermal insulation, is based on a profile fitted with the appropriate insulating inserts in the thermal break zone and a two-component, central gasket
      • the windows have excellent Uf values, placing the system among the clear market leaders in its category
      • the custom-designed shape of the one- or two-component central gasket, complete with an insulating section, provides high airtightness and watertightness performance. The glazing gaskets and weatherstrips also contribute to this
      • both the Standard and Prestige closed-form glazing beads mean that the infill can be firmly fixed in place, making it much easier to obtain burglary-resistant structures
      • the internal glazing gaskets are deeply embedded in the glazing beads, making them barely visible from the inside
      • the maximum dimensions for a window sash are an HS of 2.7m and Ls of 1.7m. The maximum weight of the sash is 160 kg.
      • The thickness of the panes of glass ranges from 1.5 to 44.5 mm for the window frame and from 12 to 52.5 mm for the window sash. This wide range of options means that every commonly available type of single-glazing, double-glazing, acoustic and burglary-resistant glass can be used
      • the use of typical ‘Euro’-type grooves means that most of the available hardware for aluminium and plastic can be installed, including concealed aluPilot hardware from Winkhaus handles with or without a rosette can be used for the windows
      • The MB-79N US is compatible with other ALUPROF solutions, particularly those from the MB-79N family. As a result, a great many of the parts, such as glazing beads, gaskets, hardware and most accessories, can be used interchangeably
