Advantages of SRC360 Mobile Railings:
- Meets and exceeds OSHA regulations for fall protection. Tested and independently certified to be in accordance with OSHA fall protection for guardrail regulations, sections 1910.29 & 1926.500–1926.503.
- Simple installation — pre-fabricated railing sections means no custom fabrication of guard rails.
- Railing will be 42" tall in the base. Railing length is available in 1-foot increments ranging from 2 feet to 10 feet, measured to the center of each leg. 10' railings are the most common along a leading edge to reduce the number of base plates. Smaller railings are used to fit around corners or obstructions.
- SRC360 means the railing can rotate in the base 360° to navigate around obstructions as needed without the need for a custom railing.
- Highly effective as hazard barriers. Commonly used for rooftop fall protection, skylights, dock doors, construction and excavation sites, new building construction, mezzanines, pier and rail yard protection, crowd control, and more.
Other Features of Our Safety Rail and Guardrail Systems:
- American Welding Society certified welders ensure the highest standard of quality construction.
- Powder-coated safety yellow for visibility and high corrosion resistance.
- Custom colors and galvanizing available.
- Custom designs and engineering available.
Proper Installation of the SRC360 Mobile Railing System:
To meet the OSHA regulations governing fall protection, namely 29 CFR 1910.28; 1910.29; 1926.500-503 the mobile railing systems must be setup according to manufacturers instructions. A partial list is provided here:
• Can be used on flat roofs not exceeding 1:12 pitch
• Not intended for metal decks or concrete surfaces. Can be used on membrane roofs and BUR roofs assuming loose gravel is swept away before base plate is positioned on roof.
• 5' return railings must be used at each end of a leading edge railing run. At the start of a railing run and at the termination of a railing run a 5' railing and base shall be placed 90 degrees away from the leading edge thereby forming a large "U" shaped setup. if forming a complete square or rectangular setup return railings are not required as the system will close back together at each end.
• Railings may be placed at the roof edge assuming there is a parapet wall or gravel stop lip to prevent sliding. As a normal course of installation, the railing system will typically be installed 18" back from the roof edge.
• Railings must be pinned into the base plate.
